Written By Agile Group

Happy NAIDOC Week 2022 everyone.

As part of our NAIDOC Week 2022 celebrations, we’re sharing a showcase of achievements from our Indigenous staff. You might have seen our first showcase - Brett Sinclair.

The next in our showcase is Kyian Wilson, in our Agile Traffic & Safety team.

Kyian Wilson

Division: Agile Traffic & Safety

Role: Traffic Controller & Leading Hand

Length of time at Agile: 18 months

Indigenous heritage: Mother is Yalata & Father is Raukkan, Wife is Amata

Kyian (Ky) joined Agile Group at the start of 2021 under our Safety & Traffic Management division. Ky has 9 years of traffic management experience and has worked with many of Australia's leading firms on some of the biggest projects South Australia and Victoria have seen to date.

As a casual employee, Ky enjoys the flexibility to work the hours as he needs and can take time off to suit his family and community commitments. He likes the variety of projects that he gets to work on at Agile Group, covering events to major construction projects across South Australia, his now home state. His favourite jobs have been working on the Topcoat Asphalt Resurfacing projects including on the Anzac Highway resurfacing project at the start of 2022.

“I like working in traffic control on the big construction projects that Agile has to offer, as the jobs are longer, and it means a steady workload for a longer period.

The team are supportive of my family needs and work with me on ensuring that I maintain the highest possible skill set to achieve any job that I’m assigned.

I’m really excited to see what the future holds and can’t wait for my next big step within Agile.”
Ky Wilson

His career goal is to remain in traffic control and has up-skilled since joining Agile and has now completed his Skid Steer (Bobcat) and Rigid Haul Truck ticket so he can cover a wider scope of positions within construction. And soon he will commence his Cert III in Civil Construction under the IRENI program hosted by Agile.
